Binocular NVG Mount for OPS-CORE Helmets

Argus Mount — Wilcox-style shroud interface, binocular-optimized geometry. Direct fit to OPS-CORE FAST Carbon, FAST ST, and all Wilcox shroud helmets.

OPS-CORE FAST helmets ship with a Wilcox-style front shroud as standard. The shroud is the NVG mounting interface — it's the hardware that every binocular NVG mount locks into on the front of the helmet. The Wilcox-style shroud standard is shared across OPS-CORE FAST Carbon, FAST ST, and compatible helmets from Team Wendy and Galvion. The Argus Mount is designed for this interface: direct shroud engagement, no adapter required.

What the Argus Mount adds beyond basic shroud compatibility is binocular-specific geometry. Most NVG mounts originated as monocular mounts — a single bale arm designed for the mass distribution of a monocular NVG. A binocular NVG is wider and heavier, with a laterally distributed moment arm. Mounting a binocular NVG on a monocular-geometry arm creates torque at the shroud interface that accelerates wear and degrades stability over time. The Argus Mount's arm profile and pivot geometry account for the mass distribution of binocular NVGs at the design stage.

OPS-CORE FAST Shroud — The Interface Standard and Why It Matters

The Wilcox-style shroud is a dovetail-and-latch interface on the front of the helmet. An NVG mount's base plate engages the dovetail, and a locking lever secures the mount. When you need to remove the NVGs from the helmet, you release the lever and slide the mount out. The same base plate fits any Wilcox-compatible shroud — which includes OPS-CORE FAST, Team Wendy EXFIL Ballistic, Galvion Caiman, MICH 2000/2001/2002, and ACH helmets with Wilcox-style shroud.

The Argus Mount's base plate is sized for the Wilcox-style shroud. It engages correctly, locks correctly, and releases correctly without shimming, machining, or adapter plates. This matters because adapter plates — the typical solution when a mount doesn't fit a shroud natively — add mounting height, add mass, add complexity, and add failure points. Direct engagement at the shroud is the mechanically correct solution.

OPS-CORE FAST Direct Fit

Wilcox-style shroud on FAST Carbon and FAST ST accepts the Argus Mount base plate without adapter. Direct engagement at the shroud — lower profile, fewer parts, no additional hardware to track.

Binocular Load Geometry

Arm width and pivot geometry designed for the lateral mass distribution of binocular NVGs. Correct load path reduces torque at the shroud — less wear, more stability than a monocular arm.

Low-Profile Aluminum

Aluminum alloy construction minimizes added mass at the shroud — critical on FAST helmets where forward weight distribution is already optimized for the high-cut profile.

No Adapter Stack

Direct shroud interface means no adapter plates between mount and helmet. Lower mounting height, fewer parts, and simpler installation than adapter-based configurations.

Consistent Return-to-Eye

Binocular pivot geometry provides repeatable return-to-eye-position when NVGs are flipped from stow to operational. Consistency matters during rapid NVG-to-unobstructed transitions.

SENTINEL, MH-1, AEON Ready
