The AN/PVS-14 in green phosphor is the image most people picture when they think of night vision. It is the classic Gen 3 look, and it is the lowest-cost way into an Adams Industries PVS-14. Every green phosphor unit we build uses a remanufactured Gen 3 contract tube in a new housing, bench-tested before it ships. Adams Industries has been building and servicing PVS-14s since 1993.

Green or White Phosphor
At the same tube grade, a green phosphor build costs less than a white phosphor build. That is the main reason to choose green: you get the same housing, the same optics and the same bench testing at a lower price.
White phosphor renders the image in grayscale. Most users find it easier on the eyes over long sessions and better at separating shadows and texture. If you will spend real hours behind the device, look at PVS-14 white phosphor. If budget decides it, green is a sound choice.
