Gen 3 white phosphor. The mission standard. 30 years of Adams Industries behind every build.
The AN/PVS-14 in white phosphor is the most fielded night vision monocular in history — and for good reason. It works, it mounts to everything, and when it's configured with a quality Gen 3 white phosphor tube it gives you a cleaner, higher-contrast image than the green phosphor units most people have seen. If you're looking for white phosphor night vision that's been properly sourced and tested, this is it. Adams Industries has been building and servicing PVS-14s since 1994. Every unit we sell has been tested before it ships.
Available in new production and remanufactured white phosphor configurations. See all monocular options →
Standard Gen 3 tubes produce a green image. That's a byproduct of the P22 phosphor screen used in legacy military fielding — it wasn't chosen for visual performance, it was chosen because it matched what the eye was already adapted to in the field. White phosphor uses a P45 screen, and the difference under actual use conditions is not subtle.
White phosphor renders the image in grayscale. Edge contrast is sharper. Shadows and texture read more clearly. Target recognition at distance is meaningfully faster for most users, particularly in environments with a lot of foliage or mixed terrain. The image looks less artificial — closer to what the eye would see in very low light than to what you'd get from a green-screen display.
For anyone doing extended work behind the device — hunters, professionals, enthusiasts who put real hours on their gear — white phosphor reduces fatigue over long sessions. Once you've run it, going back to green feels like a step backward.
All new production tubes Adams Industries installs are white phosphor. For remanufactured units on this page, we offer white phosphor only.

Our customers are U.S. military and law enforcement agencies, government contractors, and serious civilian users who need the real thing. We don't sell toys, and we don't sell to people who are going to be unhappy when they find out that night vision requires some investment. We sell to people who understand the stakes and want gear that performs when they need it.
If you're not sure which tube tier makes sense for your use case, ask. That conversation has been part of what we do for 30 years.
