Adams Industries Night Vision Monocular Overhaul Service
Adams Industries Night Vision Monocular Overhaul Service
Isn't it time you give that monocular a refresh?
We already know you're the type of person who takes care of their equipment so it will work when you really need it, right? So why doesn't your night vision get the same treatment? We get it, you don't know where to send it for an overhaul? Well, after today that is no longer an excuse.
The Adams Industries Overhaul - We Build a New Unit Using Your Parts
Probably easiest to just go through the process. First step is you hit the "Buy" button here on this page. Then you survive the perilous journey through checking out. We then send you an email with shipping information. This will include a code to identify your order. You will write this code on everything. The box, the unit, any cookies you bake for us, etc.. Everything. Please only ship the unit. We will probably lose everything you send us that is not the unit. Please notify us how you're shipping it with tracking.
So, we get your unit in. First thing we do is clean the dirt off it. No, we will not give it a bath. We have no faith that it is or ever was waterproof. I mean unless we built it. We put some fresh batteries in it and make sure it turns on. If it doesn't then we call you. Assuming all goes well, we disassemble the monocular. We clean everything meticulously. Then we inspect all the components for undue wear. We remove all timed out and replace on condition components such as gaskets. Even if they look fine, we put new ones on.
Time to reassemble! Every unit is built in a 100% clean room facility with scrubbed air and assembled in a downdraft cabinet. ANVIS torque wrenches are used where appropriate to torque the unit to spec. The assembly is tested by pulling a 20 inHG vacuum on the goggle for 20 mins, ensuring an airtight seal. After this test, the unit is purged with nitrogen. Finally, the goggle is collimated on either a TS-3895A/UV Night Vision Test Set or Hoffman ANV-126A Test Set.
Then we lovingly package your unit and ship it back to you USPS Priority with tracking and we insure it for up to $3,000. If you want more than that, let us know when we are working on it and you can pay a small up-charge, or maybe we'll just cover it if your cookies were really good. Your unit returns home and everyone is happy!
Important things to remember in this process:
- This service, as described is only for units utilizing PVS-14 or ANVIS Optics. If you have something else, please contact us before ordering.
- All the work we do is covered by a one year warranty. That means anything we do to your monocular we cover. If the tube goes black six months later, then it was going to do that anyways.
- Part of the warranty we provide is the environmental ratings. Your unit will be good to survive environmental conditions as described in IP67 and Mil-Std-810 IF it carried those ratings when it left its original manufacturer.
In case you were wondering, some of the satisfied customer who have received this service include, but are not limited to, the US Marshal's Service, San Bernardino County Sheriff, and the CIA.
