So, you have some tubes, and maybe some optics, and you’re looking for the most awesome night vision goggle housing on Earth to put them in.  Well, you’ve come to the right place.

The MH-1 is a dual tube goggle featuring manual gain control and flip-up-off capability.  It is constructed from a combination of magnesium, steel, and titanium parts.  We acquire the housing, replace the steel hardware with titanium, and build the unit to the highest standard.

But before we talk about optics and tubes, let’s talk about the MH-1/T housing.

The MH-1/T is the latest and certainly best goggle offering from Low Light Innovations. Engineered with aerospace-grade magnesium, steel, and titanium alloys, the MH-1/T achieves an optimal balance between durability and lightweight design, weighing just 15.3 ounces in its most compact configuration.

Note:  In MH-1/T systems from Adams Industries, Inc. the steel components are replaced with titanium as we have identified them as a corrosion risk.

A defining characteristic of the MH-1.T is its modular architecture. This design allows for rapid power supply changes, accommodating various battery types including CR123A and AA. Furthermore, the Modular Bridge System (MBS) enables the device to be separated into two independent monocular units.

One of the MH-1's notable features is its ability to accommodate both tubes with automatic brightness control (mx10160 format) and manual gain control (mx11769 format), which can be implemented via a plug-and-play installation method. This approach preserves your intensifier tube's warranty by eliminating the need to cut and solder any wiring.

The MH-1.T is available in black, Flat Dark Earth (FDE), ranger green, and gray.  Each MH-1/T ships with the goggle, batteries, manual, and hard case.  The MH-1.T comes with a 5 year warranty against system failure during normal use.

The MH-1/T represents a significant step forward in night vision technology.  It offers you a combination of advanced features, modularity, and robust construction to meet your demands in various environments.

You might be thinking, ok, but what about using my tubes (and optics)?

We will happily take your tubes and optics (if you have them) and build you up a unit.  We will put the same care  into doing this as we do when we sell you the entire system.  In fact, let’s talk about that process:

Every unit is built in a 100% clean room facility with scrubbed air and assembled in a downdraft cabinet. All original steel components are replaced with titanium (hence the "/T"). The assembly is tested by pulling a 20 inHG vacuum on the goggle for 20 mins, ensuring an airtight seal. After this test, the unit is purged with nitrogen. Finally, the goggle is collimated on a Hoffman ANV-126A Test Set.  Every detail is meticulously addressed.

Whew!  Say that fivie times fast!  Couple things you need to be aware of:

  1. When we build your unit, we will test your tubes.  If they are too far apart the key measurements (PR, Gain, Resolution, Brightness) then we will give you the bad news that we either need to do some tube swapping - which we can do for a reasonable fee, or we can refund your money and return your parts.

  2. If you provide optics and they leak during pressure the pressure test, then we will give you the options of buying new optics from us, swapping out your current optics for different ones, or we can build your unit and it will NOT be warranted against any damage caused by leaks.  Or, once again, we can return your parts and refund your money.

Any way you slice it, it’s not about saying “GOTCHA!”  We just want you to have the best unit possible.

Now you might be thinking, “I should just buy a housing and do it myself.  I learned plumbing pretty quick.”

You can certainly do this.  Right after you buy the housing from another company.  You see, having your night vision goggles collimated is really important.  We know people who spent extended time under nods that were not built right.  After a while, it’s not just a temporary headache.  It does bad things to your brain.  Yes, the evidence is anecdotal, and here’s an anecdote for you.  A friend of the company spent his last tour in Afghanistan with a “lousy set of nods” he was issued.  He came back and this is what he said:  “after that tour with those goggles all messed up I’m just not right and I don’t think I ever will be.”  THAT is why we won’t just sell you a housing and let you turn yourself into one of those lizards that have eyes that go different directions.

So what happens next?

OK, so you buy the housing with build service.  We send you an order number.  You send in your tubes (and optics) with that order number written all over the box and tagged on every part you can inside.  Then we test all your stuff and if it passes then we build your unit.  We ship it to you USPS Priority with tracking and insured for $5,000 (more insurance is available if desired).  That’s it.
