MH-1/T Export Models
MH-1/T Export Models
The MH-1/T is the best designed and executed binocular night vision goggle for the export market ever made.
There really is no other way to say it. The MH-1 is made of metal. It will handle more abuse than plastic goggles including the PVS-31. It uses standard PVS-14 optics which not only makes logistics and support easier in a normal situation - in wartime it can be the difference between repaired units and soldiers without night vision. It takes the standard format MX11769 image intensifier without modification. If a tube needs to be replaced, the operation is entirely plug and play. The goggle is also lighter than the competition, allows for the use of both gain control and non gain control tubes, and can be split into two monoculars for a capabilities multiplier effect. In short, no other goggle comes close in supporting your needs no matter where you are.
Now some general information about the product.
The MH-1 is a dual-tube goggle featuring manual gain control and flip-up-off capability. It is constructed from magnesium, steel, and titanium parts. We acquire the housing, replace the steel hardware with titanium, and build the unit with Carson optics and your choice of night vision intensifier tube.
But before we talk about optics and tubes, let’s talk about the MH-1/T housing.
The MH-1/T is the latest and certainly best goggle offering from Low Light Innovations. Engineered with aerospace-grade magnesium, steel, and titanium alloys, the MH-1/T achieves an optimal balance between durability and lightweight design, weighing just 15.3 ounces in its most compact configuration.
Note: In MH-1/T systems from Adams Industries, Inc. the steel components are replaced with titanium as we have identified them as a corrosion risk.
A defining characteristic of the MH-1.T is its modular architecture. This design allows for rapid power supply changes, accommodating various battery types including CR123A and AA. Furthermore, the Modular Bridge System (MBS) enables the device to be separated into two independent monocular units.
One of the MH-1's notable features is its ability to accommodate both tubes with automatic brightness control (mx10160 format) and manual gain control (mx11769 format), which can be implemented via a plug-and-play installation method. This approach preserves your intensifier tube's warranty by eliminating the need to cut and solder any wiring.
The MH-1.T is available in black, Flat Dark Earth (FDE), ranger green, and gray. Each MH-1/T ships with the goggle, batteries, manual, and hard case. The MH-1.T comes with a 5 year warranty against system failure during normal use.
The MH-1/T represents a significant step forward in night vision technology. It offers you a combination of advanced features, modularity, and robust construction to meet your demands in various environments.
Now let’s have a word regarding optics.
The MH-1/T will accept many makes of PVS-14 format optics and we will happily provide you with any of them as long as they are mil-spec from Carson. Why only Carson? Simply put, Carson is the closest you will come to optical perfection without spending orders of magnitude more money. It has been our experience that customers are almost always disappointed in all of the low-weight optical options because you don’t notice an extra ounce, but you will notice an optical distortion every second that you’re wearing the goggles.
Image Intensifier Tubes for Export Systems
Non-ITAR
NNVT Generation 2+: Made by the North Night Vision Technology Company. These tubes are available in both green and white phosphor. Some models are exportable as part of a complete unit without an ITAR export license. These tubes have excellent resolution and signal to noise specifications, but the photoresponse is generally low. Origin: China
ITAR Controlled
Elbit Systems of America: Formerly ITT Night Vision & Exelis, Elbit is one of the current manufacturers of contract night vision image intensifiers for the United States Government and friendly nations. Origin: USA
L3Harris: Formerly Litton, Northrop Grumman EOS, & L3, L3Harris is the second manufacturer of contract night vision image intensifiers for the United States Government and friend nations. It is generally considered the "higher price for higher performance" option. Origin: USA
Remanufactured & Recertified Image Intensifiers: This is an option available from Adams Industries, Inc. Image intensifier power supplies fail earlier and more frequently than the system modules. The original power supply is replaced by a new digital one and a remanufactured tube with thousands or even tens of thousands of operational use is created. During this process, the tube is tested and provided a certified Figure of Merit (FOM) which makes it exportable with the appropriate export license. This is a money and often time-saving opportunity for our export clients. Origin: USA
We look forward to speaking with you about your system needs. Please contact us with information about your export opportunity. We are happy to help both dealers to foreign governments and government officials.
