The AI/PVS-14v2 keeps the rugged push-button control system and lightweight digital housing that made this platform worth building in the first place. You still get the weather resistance, clean control layout, and lower housing weight. The difference is tube sourcing, not the housing itself.

Dual-Fuel Versatility

The dual-fuel housing still runs on either a standard AA battery or a CR123A lithium. That gives this build the same practical field flexibility as the standard PVS-14v2, without forcing the buyer into premium new-tube pricing.
