The PVS-14v2 Pushbutton Model is the most widespread night vision unit in history - and with good reason.

The PVS-14v2 Pushbutton Model design was so ahead of its time that really the rest of the world, including technology, is just now catching up. It can be handheld, head mounted, helmet mounted, affixed to any modern rail system, and things we still have not even thought of.

It doesn't have to be complicated to be the best

The PVS-14v2 Pushbutton Model is an Ultem housing with aviation grade optics and high end electronics to maximize operation time and reliability. Doesn't sound very hard to match at first. Then you consider that Ultem stands for "Ultimate Engineering Material." The designers started with the best and stayed there. All upgrades over the years have been the same. It is the perfect expression of the simple concept done well. After all, still nobody has matched it.

Now let’s have a word regarding optics

There are many makes and models of optics available for the PVS-14v2 Pushbutton Model and the only ones we use are mil-spec from Carson. Why only Carson? Simply put, Carson is the closest you will come to optical perfection without spending orders of magnitude more money. It has been our experience that customers are almost always disappointed in all of the low-weight optical options because you don’t notice an extra ounce, but you will notice an optical distortion every second that you’re wearing the the night vision.

Image Intensifier Tubes for Export Systems

This is the heart of the system, and here are the ways we have to bring yours to life.

Non-ITAR

NNVT Generation 2+: Made by the North Night Vision Technology Company. These tubes are available in both green and white phosphor. Some models are exportable as part of a complete unit without an ITAR export license. These tubes have excellent resolution and signal to noise specifications, but the photoresponse is generally low. Origin: China

ITAR Controlled

Elbit Systems of America: Formerly ITT Night Vision & Exelis, Elbit is one of the current manufacturers of contract night vision image intensifiers for the United States Government and friendly nations. Origin: USA

L3Harris: Formerly Litton, Northrop Grumman EOS, & L3, L3Harris is the second manufacturer of contract night vision image intensifiers for the United States Government and friend nations. It is generally considered the "higher price for higher performance" option. Origin: USA

Remanufactured & Recertified Image Intensifiers: This is an option available from Adams Industries, Inc. Image intensifier power supplies fail earlier and more frequently than the system modules. The original power supply is replaced by a new digital one and a remanufactured tube with thousands or even tens of thousands of operational use is created. During this process, the tube is tested and provided a certified Figure of Merit (FOM) which makes it exportable with the appropriate export license. This is a money and often time-saving opportunity for our export clients. Origin: USA
